Answer these questions about the theme:
1. What is the difference between getting "inspired" from another piece and "stealing" an idea?
When you are getting inspired from another piece, you aren't stealing anything. Basically, all you are doing is getting an idea from someone else's piece. You may use some elements from that piece, but not completely steal it. Getting inspired is basically just giving you an idea based on that piece for your project. When you "steal" someone's idea, it is completely taking the idea from someone else's piece of art or idea.
2. Is it okay to use part of an idea or part of another picture in your piece if you change something or give credit to the original source?
Personally, I think yes. I think it is okay to do that only if you give credit to the place where you got it. If you don't it could be counted as stealing, and I don't think that is right.
Answer these questions about your final piece:
1. Why did you combine the pieces you did?
For the final piece in this unit, I decided to combine a cow and bunny. Personally, I don't know how I came up with this idea. This was kind of a last minute idea. I was just thinking out two animals I like, which happened to be a cow and bunny.
2. Why did you pick this medium? Was it because you enjoy working with it? Or was it to match your idea?
For this project, I chose to acrylic paint. I picked this medium mostly because I enjoy working with it. I also think this medium would have worked the best for my idea and the colors. My colors were very bold and stood out, and I think acrylics paint would have been the best choice for me.
3. If you were to change one thing about your piece what would it be?
If I got to change one thing about it, I would change how I did the sky. Personally, I think the color I used for the sky turned out too dark, and it didn't look much like a sky.
4. What is the most successful thing about your piece?
I think the most successful thing about my piece was the animal. I think I did a pretty good job of combining a bunny and a cow and had good features of both animals when it was finished.
