Styrogami
1. From doing this mini lesson, I learned how to cut from styrofoam. To cut from styrofoam, you use an exacto knife. Also, before this mini lesson, I didn't really know what an exacto knife was or how to use. Therefore, this taught me how to use it, what to use it for, and techniques when using one.
2. I think this mini lesson was pretty successful for me. My cuts all came out pretty even and there was no right or wrong to making this, so as long as you put effort into it, it can be successful for anyone.
3. If I was to do this again, I might work with the styrofoam I cut out of the cup. For example, if I cut out a shape, like a triangle, I could reuse it. I could glue it onto the cup somewhere else to make a 3d design on the outside of the cup.
Land Art
1. From doing this mini lesson, I learned that you can practically use anything you want to make art. For this, I used things in nature to create a flower. For the stem, I actually used a flower stem from outside. For the flower, I used dandelions and just took the steam part off of them. I grouped them together to make it look like a flower.
2. I think this turned out successful for me. The way I grouped the little flowers together really worked and made it look like a big flower.
3. If I was to do this again, I might use more things from nature. To my flower, I could have also gotten a leave or even grass to make the flower look more realistic.
Newspaper Art
1. From this mini lesson, I learned again that art can be made out whatever you want, as long as you put effort and creativity into it. For example, in this mini lesson all I used was newspaper and blank paint. I covered a sketchbook page in newspaper. After, I wanted to add something to pop out, and not make this page as boring. Therefore, I painted on a little flower with all black paint.
2. I think this mini lesson was also successful for me. I think the newspaper was all glued down very nicely and looked neat. Also, I think painting the flower on it was successful. I think it added a touch to it that stood out.
3. If I was to do this again, I might use more detail. I also could add more things on top of the newspaper to make it stand out, but overall I think it turned out good and was successful.
